Today we honor the many lives touched by Pearl Harbor. We remember those who perished on that fateful day, we will never forget!

It is going to be a busy December in Valley Home. Most evenings for the first 10 days of December will have many Valley Home folks tuned in to the National Finals Rodeo. This year it’s exciting to be able to cheer for Oakdale cowboy Ryle Smith, and his amazing horse Trouble! From all your area fans ... Good luck!

Tomorrow, Thursday, our Valley Home Hawks will travel to Roberts Ferry for a fast moving soccer game. What great fun! Go-o-o Hawks!

Also on Thursday the Parent Teacher Club will meet at 3 p.m. Please attend, all are welcome and much appreciated!

On Friday our Valley Home students will meet in the gym for the awards assembly. Those who were selected for student of the month will also be treated to a special luncheon.

Tuesday, December 13th Shelly’s Christmas store will come to life. Shelly and her busy elves will work their magic again this year. Students will be able to purchase gifts for family and friends ... purchases are all wrapped and ready to go home at the end of the day with students. A big thank you to Shelly and her elves for their hard work! Anyone willing to help in the Christmas store, please contact Melisa Carpenter at 209-985-0127, your help would be greatly appreciated!

Also on Tuesday our School Board will meet at 6 p.m. in the school library.

Please remember our school canned food drive, collection boxes are in the hall at Texas campus, boxes are in Mr. Tom’s room on Pioneer campus.

Coming up on Friday, December 16th is the annual after school talent show at 7 p.m. Great fun!

Remember our Old Fashioned Christmas Saturday, December 17th, parade 6 p.m., tree lighting in park, community potluck dinner, visit with Santa in school gym ... More details next week!
