Hello all; I hope you are each doing well and enjoying our fall weather.
We had a wonderful Fall Harvest Festival this past weekend in Valley Home. A huge thanks to all who worked so hard to make this night so very special. Thank you to each of you who purchased dinners and donated in any way to help Jett … May God bless each one of you. Jett’s mother and sisters were at the Harvest Festival and received your very generous donations from our Valley Home School Superintendent Bill Slikker. What a great blessing you all are. Jett is at Stanford now but hopefully will get to come home this week until his next chemo. We deeply appreciate all the hardworking hands that helped make this night possible. A special thank you to Sean Haynes and family for the beautiful dinner they prepared and served to our retiring Fire Chief Kevin Wise and those seated at his table.
We are so thankful to our Fire Board for the amazing BBQ dinner they prepared as a fundraiser for Jett. It was so delicious. We were blessed to have Supervisor Buck Condit and Sheriff’s Lieutenant Brock Condit and his beautiful daughter with us. Also, many thanks to our Sheriff’s Department and our amazing Air 101; they made the night so very special! Our first responders were awesome, they visited with community members, answered questions and were absolutely great … Sheriffs, Fire, and CHP. Our Valley Home neighbors, the CHP out of San Andreas, attended as well; we were blessed to have each of you here.
I would like offer our gratitude to Debbie Schickert and her three sweet Aunts who came all the way from Indiana and worked hard all night at the Harvest Festival; we appreciate each of you so much. We are very grateful to those who made special donations; you are deeply appreciated. It was a very special night for sure in Valley Home and we are grateful for our Valley Home School Superintendent Bill Slikker; thank you for everything.
As always, it was a special blessing to have our Oakdale Leader Editor with us on this amazing night; thank you Marg, we appreciate you coming and being part of our evening.
