It’s almost here! Our Valley Home School Harvest Festival is this Saturday! It will start at 5:30 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m. Fun for all! Carnival games, pumpkin patch, face painting, travel through the Haunted Pumpkin Graveyard on the “Agony Bagbones” Haunted Hayride! Great fun! There will be many items to bid on during the silent auction and we have tremendous class baskets up for bid. Remember every dollar you spend goes directly to help our Valley Home students. Visit the Harvest Sweet Shoppe for delicious homemade treats, delightful sugar cookies, pumpkin pie, apple pie, fall cheesecake, candy apples, and much more including amazing Portuguese sweet bread, made by Mrs. Mattos! There will be carved pumpkins and pumpkin decorating contests (must be done at home and brought to school before 5:30 p.m.). Remember to enter your scarecrow and bring it to school before 5:30 p.m. to enter it in the great 2018 Harvest Festival Scarecrow Contest. Great prizes! There will be a pie eating contest and a milk drinking challenge, the fun costume contest begins at 5:45 p.m.; all are welcome, followed by all other contests with winners being announced at 7 p.m. Our Harvest Kitchen will open its doors to welcome you with delicious tri tip sandwiches, polish sausages, hot dogs, chili dogs, nachos, chili bowls, cold drinks and hot coffee! There will be hay bale seating outside and a fall decorated eating area inside. Come have a delicious dinner under a beautiful Fall Harvest Moon. Valley Home School greatly appreciates your support! A special treat for our Harvest Festival will be having our Fire, Sheriff, and CHP here with us! Have fun at the cake walk or take home a Mylar balloon, have fun in the obstacle course or enjoy a visit to the exciting Valley Home Bingo Parlor.
