Our Valley Home 4-Hers would like to invite you to their 2020 Box Social. The Box Social will be held on Tuesday, February 11th! It is great fun and brings in needed funds for 4-H projects, activities and events. The 4-Hers and their families each donate a beautifully wrapped package or other items to be auctioned off during the evening. With the Box Social being right before Valentine’s Day, it is the perfect time to purchase something special for your sweetheart! Over the years there have been some really amazing treats up for bid. There have been berry pies, cherry pies, really just about any kind of sweet you could imagine. There have been coconut cakes, lemon cakes, chocolate raspberry cakes and every other cake or cupcake in between. Valentine’s hearts filled with dark chocolate, marshmallow fudge and delicious nut chews! I remember one year one of our 4-Hers created a delightful edible candy poster, fifty different candy bars spelled out a tasty message, great fun! Bidders enjoy bidding on a variety of items. Over the years we have even had fruit trees, and roses up for bid. The Valley Home 4-H Box Social will be held in our Valley Home School gym on February 11th! The club will have a short (probably 10 minute) business meeting at 7:00 p.m. with the Box Social Live Auction starting immediately after the very short meeting. Please come out and support our Valley Home 4-Hers!
Some of the projects offered in Valley Home 4-H are Archery, Gardening, Baking, Cooking, Public Speaking, Primary, Community Service, Crafts and Animal projects. It is a fun, educational dedicated group which meets monthly in the Chrisman Family barn. The club has a strong, enthusiastic leadership team made up of President, Callie Chrisman, Vice President, Ben Fletcher, Secretary, Morgan Edgar, Treasurer, Walter Bynum and Sgt. At Arms, Cooper Bartholomew. Our Valley Home 4-H members are proud to carry on this exciting tradition! Our 4-Hers invite you to come to their 2020 Box Social!
