Hi everyone; I hope you are all doing well and enjoying our weather as we head into fall. I apologize for missing writing last week’s column. I am out of the hospital now and once again l am so grateful for God’s amazing mercy; thank you to each of you who continue to keep me and my family in your prayers!

We are so happy to report that our Oakdale Mustangs, both our JV and Varsity football teams brought home tremendous wins last Friday night. Oakdale traveled to play Miramontes in the Bay Area; I am told that they had quite a loud and faithful cheering section! We are excited for our freshman football game against Enochs High this Thursday. We have an amazing freshman team and a tremendous group of very talented cheerleaders. Go Oakdale!

This week we would like to spotlight a very talented Valley Home resident. Caden Farquer is a wonderful talent in the art of drawing. Caden’s amazing ability to capture the spirit of his subjects is absolutely breathtaking! Caden, we are looking forward to seeing much more of your amazing work. Please remember to mark your calendars for October 22, 2022. Our Valley Home School/Community Fall Harvest Festival will once again celebrate our Valley Home fall harvest season! Families, friends, neighbors ... everyone is once again invited to gather at our Valley Home School for this very special fall harvest celebration. We will celebrate the hard work and the long hours our farmers and ranchers put in all year round. Our rural way of life is so much appreciated by each of one of us ... we celebrate those who work continuously to keep this way of life possible for all of us. Remember, our Fall Harvest Festival will be held on Saturday, October 22 from 6pm to 9 pm at our Valley Home School.
