Rain or shine ... this weekend our community will gather under a beautiful full moon to celebrate the harvest season! From 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, Valley Home School will welcome everyone to a wonderful evening of fun! A delightful, well stocked Silent Auction ... come out and enjoy shopping while supporting Valley Home School. All proceeds go directly to support student activities! During the evening folks will enjoy delicious tri-tip and linguica sandwiches, tasty homemade tamales and highly sought after Portuguese Sweet Bread. Hot dogs, chili dogs and nachos round out the dinner menu. Come have dinner while supporting your Valley Home School! Also available will be treats and sweets, candied apples, sugar cookies and a whole array of goodies from the Sweets Booth.

A beautiful full harvest moon will shine down on a pumpkin filled patch where scarecrows, a pie eating contest, milk drinking challenge, decorated pumpkin contest, carved pumpkin contest and a giant pumpkin contest will keep everyone having fun all evening. Games will entertain young and old. Popcorn, Cotton Candy, and Sno Cones will provide tasty treats for all!

Fire, CHP and Sheriff and K9 will visit with festival goers throughout the evening! The world’s smallest Real Haunted House will be open so that visitors can feel the ghostly chills created within!

From 7-8:30 p.m. an old fashioned hay ride will take riders through the zombie filled night and eventually through an old haunted western ghost town. Lights will flicker, bells will chime, coyotes will howl, all this and more will haunt you as you ride safely on the Thalheim Hay Ride! Mylar balloons, face painting and a dynamite obstacle course and speed pitch will call out to those who are up to the challenge.

All are welcome and your support is very much appreciated. Special thanks to all who have donated and the Art class and student volunteers from Oakdale High School! We greatly appreciate you!
