A wonderful Valley Home couple, Russ and Shelly Carpenter are celebrating 44 years of marriage this week! Shelly and Russ have both lived in the Valley Home/Oakdale community all of their lives. They are the proud parents of daughter Melisa Carpenter, granddaughters Marybeth Carpenter, and Emma Wucherer, and grandson Wyatt Wucherer. Congratulations Shelly and Russ!

More excitement in Valley Home as Jeff and Sally Chrisman also celebrated their special day! Sally and Jeff have been married for 27 years, and are the proud parents of son Cy, and daughters Callie and Cheyenne. Congratulations Sally and Jeff!

This past week we enjoyed amazing homemade jelly. Thank you Kimber Martin! Kimber is making delicious pomegranate, blackberry, and strawberry jalapeno jelly, along with spicy carrots. These delightful treats are available for just $5 a jar. You can reach Kimber on Facebook!

Colton Farquer is back on the rodeo circuit! Colton is entered in several rodeos over the next few months. He will put well over 6,000 miles of travel time in. Colton is a graduate of Oakdale High School. Valley Home is proud of you Colton!

So much excitement in Valley Home as Payton Sinclair became the proud owner of a beautiful 1941 Super Deluxe Ford. We are so happy for you Payton!

Valley Home sixth grader Tommy Eproson was very successful at the San Joaquin County Fair this past week! Among his many accomplishments were several first and second place awards for his dairy cattle. He was especially proud of his second place finish with his jersey calf, “Anna.” Great job Tommy! Tommy would like to say thank you to Tina Langum for allowing him to show “Anna.”

Our Valley Home 4-H held its year end meeting and potluck last week! New officers include President Sam Fletcher, and Vice President Callie Chrisman. It was a beautiful evening with delicious food, friendship, and great fun enjoyed by all. Congratulations to our 2018-2019 Officers!
