Valley Home News 11-11-20

So thankful they came! Our fire department may not be right here in Valley Home, and for that I worry every day! Last Saturday evening, the night sky glowed bright fiery orange in Valley Home. Not knowing what was on fire but seeing the huge fire lighting up the night sky brought concern, fear, and prayers, we knew our firefighters were not in Valley Home! They came quickly and because they are so well trained and professional the orange glow became just a hint of orange very quickly in the night sky. As it turns out the fire was a big patch of berry vines and dry brush. No homes or lives were in danger. We are grateful our firefighters came. I have always had tremendous respect for our firefighters!

Also this past Saturday, we visited an exciting new business in our Valley Home community! The Chrisman Family Farm “Country Store” welcomed us inside with the scent of Christmas everywhere in the beautiful country barn. So many delightful items to look at, gifts and personal purchases soon filled our shopping bags! Delicious homemade “Cupcakes by Callie” were a favorite purchase! Other items that filled our shopping bags were sage and honey, heirloom seeds, candles, delicate scented soaps, tasty mascarpone cookies, two bags of this year’s crop of English walnuts and even a package of country stew mix! There was definitely something for everyone. Please consider visiting this delightful country store for your holiday needs! Chrisman Family Farm is located at 9840 Victory Avenue. You will be greeted with a smile and welcomed by all!
