Oakdale Police took a 17-year-old boy into custody on Thursday morning, Feb. 4, following a probation search revealed the teen had a loaded pistol and street drugs in his possession, along with approximately $16,000 in cash.
Police posted the information on their Facebook page on Thursday evening, outlining specifics of the case.
About 9:20 a.m. Thursday, according to the Facebook post, Oakdale Police made contact with the 17-year-old boy in a neighborhood in northwest Oakdale, in the general vicinity of the 800 block of North Yosemite Avenue. The teenager was on searchable probation for a prior vehicle theft. A subsequent search by officers turned up a loaded 9mm pistol in his possession, along with approximately 400 tablets of suspected Ecstasy and LSD, and approximately $16,000 in cash.
The 17-year-old was charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell narcotics, possession of a loaded firearm while in possession of a controlled substance, carrying a loaded firearm, and possession of a concealed firearm by a minor and was and booked into Stanislaus Juvenile Hall.
His name was not released due to the fact that he is a minor.
