It was a steady stream of visitors – and shoppers – to the Oakdale Community Garden along East A Street on Saturday morning, April 15 as the Oakdale Garden Club hosted a plant sale, just in time for the arrival of warm weather. There were succulents, garden art, ornamentals, vegetables and more, along with the opportunity to learn more about the planting beds available for rental. Different sizes are offered and officials hope to add more of the ‘for rent’ mini-gardens in the future. A mural sketched out along the block wall adjacent to the garden is also scheduled to be painted during the upcoming Love Oakdale community work day.
