The Oakdale Saddle Club is gearing up for the annual Oakdale Rodeo Parade and entries are now being sought.

The parade runs, rain or shine, officials said and this year’s parade is scheduled for Saturday, April 13. Deadline for entry forms to be submitted is Sunday, March 31.

Entry forms are available by contacting Rodeo Parade Organizer Sutton Castillo at 209-541-5411. They are also available at The Oakdale Leader office, 122 S. Third Ave., Oakdale.

There is a $25 entry fee, payable to the Oakdale Saddle Club.

The Saturday morning parade kicks off the festivities for rodeo weekend in Oakdale, with two days of competition staged at the Saddle Club Rodeo Grounds on East F Street.

There are awards in a number of different categories and all awards will be given out a week later at the Rodeo Grounds; winners will be notified.
