Road, Rail Work Impacts Traffic
cone

More roadwork this summer in the City of Oakdale will put the brakes on easy access to some areas of the community. Motorists should be aware of potential delays due to the ongoing projects.

City officials noted that the H Street and Ash Avenue Surface Improvement Project, just getting underway this week, will continue through November and is scheduled for Ash Avenue between J and H streets and H Street in the Ash and Oak avenue areas. Work is planned from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

During construction the location will have limited access and limited parking on H Street and Ash Avenue during work hours. It is advised to use alternate routes.

Also, the Union Pacific Railroad Grade Crossings project continues, with work slated in several more areas.

The J Street crossing is scheduled to be closed this week, with the work started on July 15; followed by the G Street crossing having work done the week of July 22 and the H Street crossing slated for repairs the week of July 29.

Updates will be provided should the schedule change.

This UPRR project will install concrete panels at these locations to improve drivability.

During construction the locations will be closed; motorists are advised to plan ahead and use alternate routes.

Those with any questions regarding the projects are asked to call the city’s Public Services Department at (209) 845-3600.
