Police Seize Narcotics In Early Morning Stop

Early Wednesday morning, Jan. 15 at approximately 1:56 a.m., an Oakdale Police Officer stopped a car for speeding in the area of Shawn Vines Avenue and Caroldeen Street. The driver was contacted and later identified as Sergio Gomez, 43, of Oakdale. Police said Gomez was determined to be an unlicensed driver. During the traffic stop, approximately a half-pound of methamphetamine was located and recovered from the vehicle.

Gomez was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for charges of Transportation of Narcotics and Possession of Narcotics for Sale.
