Get a good meal, listen to some music and enjoy the chance to win some prizes, all while supporting the Oakdale Rescue Mission. Members of the ORM are putting the final touches on their Burgerfest Fundraiser event, which is set for Saturday, May 14 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Meals will be served throughout the evening and the event will be hosted at Community United Methodist Church, 1480 Poplar, Oakdale. Adult meal tickets are $20, children 5 to 12 are $5 and children under five eat for free. The meal will feature a barbecued hamburger (beef or veggie) along with chips, salads, a drink and a dessert bar. Hot dogs will be available for kids or the kids at heart. There will also be a silent auction and raffle drawings every 15 minutes during the course of the evening along with musical entertainment. Come at any time during the 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. window to enjoy your meal.

Proceeds will help the Oakdale Rescue Mission in their effort of ‘reaching out to transform lives’ for those in need in the area.
