Delta Blood Bank has an emergency need for blood donors.

“Our inventory is greatly depleted right now,” said Annie Havens, Marketing Manager. “Dangerously so!”

Platelet donors and those with O negative, A negative and B positive blood types are especially needed. Every two seconds, someone needs blood. There is no substitute and the volunteer donor is the only way blood will be available for you or a loved one should the need arise.

“In the summer months, it becomes more difficult to get donors into our sites. Vacations take their toll on the blood supply and we hope to remind everyone that blood is needed 365 days a year,” Havens added.
