AAUW Fund Recipient To Speak At Meeting

On Saturday, March 12, at 9 a.m., Helen Rocha, an American Association of University Women Fund recipient, will speak to Oakdale Riverbank Escalon Branch members and guests about her journey, career goals and how she came to receive this award. Ms. Rocha’s Career Development Grant is assisting her this year as she pursues a master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in engineering management. A licensed civil engineer, she is passionate about helping communities with their water supplies and infrastructure. She also mentors women engineering students at California State University, Sacramento.

The 9 a.m. to noon program will be held at a member’s home. The cost of the brunch, catered by Café Bliss, is $12. Prospective members in the Oakdale, Riverbank, or Escalon area are invited to attend.
