McHenry Mansion Hosts New Docent Orientation

The McHenry Mansion will hold a new docent orientation and training on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 9:30 a.m. at the mansion, 906 15th St., Modesto. After, there will be new docent classes starting Jan. 29 every Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for eight weeks.

A class materials fee of $35 is required. McHenry Foundation membership starts at $45.

Class highlights include: Train in local history and culture; support a local landmark – the ‘Jewel’ of Modesto; educate visitors from around the globe on local history; attend social events; annual trip to historical homes; flexible hours – docents choose when to work; use your skills to enhance the mansion experience.
