Oakdale firefighters and police responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of South Yosemite and East G Street late Saturday afternoon, June 23 when the cars collided, resulting in damage to both but with no serious injuries reported. It was just one call in a busy week for local firefighters, who also responded to incidents including a reported large hay/vegetation fire at Carter and 26-Mile roads on Thursday, June 21; a structure fire on Milton Road on Saturday, and a pair of fires, one in a kitchen at a residence on Pedersen Road on Monday, June 25 along with a small roadside grass fire at Sierra and Wamble roads, also on Monday afternoon.
