Christmas in Valley Home, a very special time for our Valley Home Community! This Saturday December 9th we will celebrate the Christmas season together here in Valley Home. Our Old Fashioned Lighted Christmas Parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will circle the block three times, entries should be safe and in good taste, all are welcome! There are no signups, just come line up near the community park or school gym before 5:30 p.m. This is a community sponsored event. Each year our community comes together and enjoys this very special evening! Immediately after the parade we will meet together in our little park for the lighting of our community Christmas Tree! We will sing two Christmas carols together by the tree and then move to the toasty warm gym to enjoy a delicious Christmas Potluck Dinner. Everyone is invited to bring their favorite dish to share; it is going to be such a special night! Our Valley Home 4-H will be providing turkeys, hams, holiday rolls, Christmas punch, plates, cups, silverware, and hot chocolate. Santa will be visiting with young and old alike during the evening! Our Grand Marshal honor goes to the Segraves Family, Scott Jr., Scott III, Violette, Isabella, and Cheryl Segraves! The best viewing area will be at the old school campus. Parade, Tree Lighting, Nativity Scene, and community dinner will go on rain or shine. It truly is a special evening in Valley Home!

Our Valley Home Soccer team had a super day at Paradise School last Friday. The teams look forward to hosting Knights Ferry on Friday December 15th. We hope you will all come out and support your Valley Home Hawks!

This is a busy week, on Tuesday December 12th, the Oakdale Rural Fire Board will meet in Knights Ferry at 10 a.m. in the Community Hall. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Also Tuesday evening our Valley Home 4-H will meet at the Baptist Church on Valley Home Road. The meeting will start at 7 p.m.
Tuesday evening will also be the meeting day for our Valley Home School Board. The meeting will start at 6 p.m. in the school board room.
