Parents with students enrolled at the Oakdale High School were alerted to the possiblity of a man seen videotaping a young high school girl Wednesday, June 27. In light of the recent report of a 16-year-old girl who was kidnapped Wednesday, June 13 as she was walking home from summer school and later raped before being returned to campus, the school thought it prudent to inform parents.
The man was described as Hispanic in his 40s. He was following the girl in his vehicle while videotaping her. Police responded to the area but couldn't find anyone fitting that description.
Parents are reminded to talk to their children about stranger danger and to report any suspicious behavior to the authorities. To report suspicious activity or people, or if anyone has information regarding the previous kidnap and rape case, they are uged to call the police department at 209-847-2231.
