Special Monday Program Aims To Inform

A special program on ‘Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease: The Basics” will be presented through the Alzheimer’s Association on Monday, Sept. 23.

The program will run from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and be hosted at the Gladys Lemmons Senior Center, 450 East A St., Oakdale. There is no cost to attend and to register or for more information, contact Barbara Mwamba at 209-848-5327.

The program will cover such topics as: warning signs of dementia, differences between dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, diagnosis and risk reduction, research, principles of “person-centered” care, six steps to successful caregiving, maintaining optimal health, and accessing community resources.
