For the 12th consecutive year, the Stanislaus Association of School Administrators (ACSA) Charter, along with the Stanislaus County Office of Education (SCOE), Mocse Credit Union and E. & J. Gallo Winery, will be honoring students who have succeeded despite challenges. They will be recognized at a special gathering on March 7 at 7 a.m. at the Petersen Event Center in Modesto, 720 12th St., Modesto.

Oakdale High School student Marissa Bales is among the 24 local students from 14 area school districts slated to be recognized at the event. At the end of the program one student will be selected as the region nominee and receive a $500 scholarship. They will then participate in the state selection process.

Tickets are $15 each and must be purchased in advance. The “Every Student Succeeding” program honors students who have succeeded against challenges, gone beyond expectations, or simply won the hearts of their teachers and other staff.
