Oakdale Police were called to a car dealership on West F Street and Reed Road regarding a possible strong-arm robbery where an employee was tied up by the suspects on Tuesday, Sept 28.
Police Lieutenant Keri Redd stated that at 12:30 p.m., police received a 9-1-1 call from an employee of Reed Auto Sales, who told them the robbery occurred at 10:30 a.m. that morning. The employee explained the delay in reporting was being tied up prior to being able to escape.
According to police, the employee reported that two suspects came into the business office and overtook the employee. No weapons were seen and police have yet to determine if any loss occurred.
“We’re still in the process of going through everything,” Lt. Redd said. “Detective (Aaron) Beatty is planning on a second interview of the victim.”
Redd said that without any loss, it is unknown what the motive for the incident was. She added that the victim, a female, was not sexually assaulted.
Both suspects were described as white males wearing grey hoodie sweatshirts that were pulled tight around their faces. The only notable difference was that one was taller than the other and was wearing black tactical pants. No age range was provided.
Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact Detective Aaron Beatty at the Oakdale Police Department, (209) 847-2231.
