On Saturday March 17, 2018 members of the Orange Blossom 4-H Club participated in the Stanislaus County 4-H Demonstration Day. Guided and instructed by leader Joyce Reed, all four members earned gold awards for their performances. Maryn Ludlow presented an interpretive reading of the classic children’s story “The Little Red Hen,” as did Molly Terpstra, who presented a poem entitled “Pig,” written by Roald Dahl. Cailee Flood presented an illustrated talk titled, “Stop! Don’t Feed My Horse That!” which was about weeds that may be poisonous to livestock. Rhys Ludlow gave an informative speech titled “Downward Goat,” in which he spoke about facts and the history of Boer goats. These members have been preparing for this contest since winter, and are grateful to their leader, Ms. Reed, for all of her guidance and support. All members have earned a spot at the regional competition in April.
