Fall is in the air and Oakdale High school leadership is ready to welcome it with a number of activities celebrating the 2017 Homecoming Week. While varying activities have begun, Homecoming week officially begins on the high school campus on Monday, Oct. 9 with a Meme Dress Up day.

The theme of this year’s Homecoming will be “Unity in Diversity Musical Festival.” In keeping with tradition, downtown business windows will be painted by each class this Saturday, Oct. 7. The ever popular Powder Puff football game will be hosted on Wednesday, Oct. 11 in the Corral at 7 p.m.

The Homecoming King and Prince coronation will be hosted during halftime of this game.

Dress up days are slated for each day of the week concluding with Red and Gold dress day on Friday, Oct. 13 for the Homecoming Rally. OHS Homecoming Parade is slated to begin Friday at 1:30 p.m. with floats traveling from J Street, through Gilbert and onto West G. Anticipated end time is 2 p.m. Queen and Princess coronation will be conducted during halftime of the Homecoming varsity football game hosted at the Corral Friday evening, with varsity kickoff about 7 p.m.
