The following is a listing of some of the local calls for service involving the Modesto Fire Department, which staffs Stations 27, 28, 29 and 30 in Oakdale, Knights Ferry and Valley Home; and the Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Department, covering the Riverbank area.

THURSDAY, FEB. 3

No time listed – Battalion 5 supported a Memorial Service in the City of Oakdale for a retired Stockton Fire Department member.

TUESDAY, FEB. 1

9:19 a.m. – Modesto Battalion 5, Engine 28, Engine 27, Engine 7, Engine 9, Stanislaus Quint 22, Engine 23, Engine 26, FIU, OPD, and Oak Valley Ambulance responded to a residential working structure fire on Church Avenue in the City of Oakdale. First arriving unit found heavy fire coming out of the front of the house. As units arrived on scene, an offensive fire attack was initiated. Crews searched the house and found no persons, however one cat was found deceased. The FIU is investigating the incident. One occupant was transported to a local hospital for conditions unrelated to the fire.
