Soroptimist International of Oakdale hosted its annual Motor Madness fundraiser on Saturday, March 24, at the Gene Bianchi Community Center. Over 275 guests enjoyed a delicious variety of hors d’oeuvres and desserts as well as beer and wine tasting. Craig Moorhouse of Oakdale won the Grand Door Prize and will select from either a new Harley Davidson motorcycle or $10,000 cash.

This year’s theme was “A Little Bit Country.” Oakdale resident and professional entertainer Rob Ely served as the emcee and performed country songs throughout the evening. Charlotte Metcalfe was selected as Best Rhinestone Cowgirl and Doug White was selected as Best Rhinestone Cowboy, adding fun to the event.

Proceeds from Motor Madness ticket sales and opportunity drawings benefit Soroptimist programs for women and girls as well as local community projects. “The members of Soroptimist would like to thank those that purchased tickets and provided gifts, donations, and support for this event,” said Membership Chair Nancy Lilly.
