Modesto Junior College Equine Unit invites the public to an Open House and Horse Sale on Saturday, Dec. 3, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the West Campus Equine Unit, 2201 Blue Gum Ave., Modesto. There is no admission charged and campus parking is free.

There are 15 horses for sale, with both mares and geldings available and horses at all ages and levels of training. Breeds available include American Quarter Horse, Paint, Warmblood and a variety of ponies.

Horses can be purchased the day of the sale or through a bidding process that will end at noon on Monday, Dec. 5. In addition to the barn being open on Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the horses can be viewed by appointment on Dec. 4 and Dec. 5. Bids will be accepted via email or phone. All proceeds from the sale directly benefit the MJC equine program.
