The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is alternately closing the #1 (left) and #2 (right) lanes on northbound Interstate 5 (I-5) from the Merced/Stanislaus County line to the Stanislaus/San Joaquin County line for paving operations. Due to the New Year’s Holiday, there was no scheduled road work on Sunday, Jan. 1 or Monday, Jan. 2.

Crews began work on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 and will continue through Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials, and construction related issues.
