The Stanislaus County Clerk Recorder's office released the following results for the Nov. 8 election:

There were 35,876 votes with 15.79 percent of the registered voters turning out to cast their vote on various issues and candidates.

In Riverbank, John Mitchell took 33.17 percent of the votes in the Riverbank Unified School Distirct Governing Board member race, followed by Steve Walker.

In the Oakdale Joint Unified School District Governing Board for Area 1, the voters selected Mike Tozzi; for Area 2 Tina Shatswell edged out Rick W. Jones.

In the Knights Ferry School Board race, Maureen McKibby and Sherron McCarthy were voted in as new board members.


In Valley Home, Larry Betschart took 30 percent of the votes followed by Heather Duvall and Shara Ruddy for the Valley Home Joint School District board member race.

In Measure news, Measure O, billed as a public safety tax, passed with 56 percent of the voters agreeing to help bolster the flagging General Fund in the hopes of protecting Oakdale's quality of life.
