Living History Lesson Comes To Knights Ferry
Civil Way

Four battles, featuring soldiers from both the North and South, were played out in the hills and across the historic Covered Bridge in Knights Ferry over the weekend.

The American Civil War Association brought its Union and Confederate soldiers to the area, with two battles staged on Saturday, March 23 and two more on Sunday, March 24. Rainy weather welcomed the reenactors on Saturday morning but skies cleared later in the day and the sunny skies on Sunday saw a good crowd turn out for the event.

Soldiers also had camps set up, depicting life in the Civil War-era, and provided plenty of information for attendees, visiting with them in between the battle times.
