Wiggle Worms meet every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Enjoy stories, music, dancing, rhythm activities, and fingerplay at this special program perfect for ages 0 to 3 and their caregivers. (25-30 minutes)
Preschool Story Time runs every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Books, flannelboard stories, fingerplay, and music for preschoolers, ages 3-6, and caregivers. (30 min.)
An Internet Basics Computer Class is scheduled for Feb. 23 at 10:30 a.m. Please call the Library for info or to reserve a space, 847-4204.
The public is invited to receive free tax preparation assistance from Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) volunteers on Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. VITA volunteers are trained by the IRS. Please call the library at (209) 847-4204 to reserve a spot, as space is limited. The last day for tax preparation at the Oakdale Library will be April 7.
Lego Day will be on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 3:30 p.m. Kids can unleash their awesome creativity and the masterpieces will be displayed in the Library.
On Wednesday, Feb. 10, visitors will enjoy a Valentine Craft Party. There will be fun and fanciful, glittery and “sweet” ideas available, with all materials provided to make the perfect Valentine. This is for all ages — kids, tweens, teens, and adults, beginning at 3:30 p.m.
On Wednesday, Feb. 17, the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) Book Program for grade-school children will be reading about “Infinity!” A discussion and “infinite” activity will follow. Fun and Learning at 3:30 p.m.
The Library Book Club will be reading “In the Lake of the Woods” and meeting to discuss and share on Feb. 23, at 11:30 a.m. New members welcome.
Friends of the Oakdale Library will meet Feb. 22, at 1:30 pm. Their Book Sale Fundraiser will be March 8, 9, and 10.
