Library Is Designated Cooling Center
Library
The library can serve as a cool respite during the triple digit heat.

Oakdale Public Library officials are reminding local residents that the library at 151 S. First Ave. is a designated cooling center for the community.

During normal operating hours, the library can serve as a respite for those needing some relief from the heat and library officials also said that donations of cases of water and snacks have come in as well, so those beating the heat can enjoy a little refreshment.

Friday’s temperatures are again predicted to soar into the triple digits and the library is open both Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; closed Sunday. Monday and Wednesday hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

All are welcome to stop by the library to cool off for a bit and enjoy some free water and snacks.
