Leo Club Info Session

The first information meeting for a new Leo Club starting in Oakdale is set for Wednesday, June 7 at 6 p.m. at the Family Support Network, 1405 W. F St., Oakdale.

This club will be sponsored/coordinated by the Lions Club and will be the first Leo Club in Oakdale. Several area teens are expected to attend the session, along with their parents and there will be representatives from Leo and Lions Clubs from Merced and Stockton, to describe what a Leo Club is and how a Leo Club works within the community.

The Leo Club will serve as a partnership between the Oakdale Lions Club and Family Support Network, said officials, who describe it as a ‘perfect fit’ for the organizations.

The Family Support Network has a history of successful youth groups and the Lions Club wanted to begin an official Leo Club in Oakdale, so the two have joined forces to make it happen.

All interested are encouraged to attend the June 7 meeting at the Family Support Network offices.
