Make some time to stop by the Oakdale Library, 151 S. First Ave., Oakdale for a variety of special summertime programs.

Wiggle Worms is offered every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Enjoy stories, music, dancing, rhythm activities, and more, perfect for those up to three-years-old and their caregivers. Preschool Story Time is every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. for preschoolers, ages 3-6, and caregivers.

The Summer Reading Challenge for all ages is in full swing. Read books you love, join in for fun activities and programs, and enter for prizes throughout the summer.

Also, related to the library’s “Read for the Win” Summer Reading Challenge, they will be hosting an exciting ‘Minute To Win It’ Event. Join in for an hour of competition and fun. Complete challenge activities in less than a minute for a chance at a cool prize. The timer will begin ticking Thursday, June 16, at 3:30 p.m.

Computer Basics 1 class is set for Tuesday, June 21 and a Computer Basics 2 class on Tuesday, June 28. Classes begin at 10:30 a.m. Call the Library for info and be sure to reserve your space; each session is limited to four people. Call 847-4204.

The Library Book Club will be reading “The Jane Austen Book Club” and meeting to discuss and share on Tuesday, June 28, at 11:30 a.m. Sign out your copy at the Library. New members welcome.

The Friends of the Oakdale Library are the main sponsors of many of the programs and prizes. They will hold their monthly meeting on Monday, June 27 at 1:30 p.m. You can sign up to join the Friends. Forms and info are available at the Oakdale Library.
