Named as the January 2013 Artist of the Month by the Oak Valley Art Society, Peggy Clark is a Missouri native who lives with her husband, Bob, in Modesto. They have three children.

After her retirement seven years ago, Peggy started taking classes at Artels on McHenry Avenue in Modesto for the socialization, but soon found that she had natural artistic talents. She prefers the oil media for her art specialty. The painting she won with is titled ‘Unforgettable.”

She said the painting was inspired by a photo she took at a friend’s house in Oregon.

The Oak Valley Art Society meets each month at the Escalon Library and membership is open to artists throughout the region.
