Information Guide Being Mailed Out For Primary

Stanislaus County Clerk/Recorder/Registrar of Voters Lee Lundrigan announced the Stanislaus County Sample Ballot/Voter Information Guide will begin mailing on Thursday, May 3. Vote by mail (VBM) ballots for the Statewide Direct Primary Election will begin to mail the following week on Thursday, May 10. Election Day is Tuesday, June 5.

Stanislaus County has a total of 234,414 registered voters of which 157,570 are permanent vote by mail voters and 1,164 are all-mail precinct voters.

Stanislaus voters will each receive two ballot cards. Two cards form one ballot and both must be returned. The “A” card contains races for the federal, state, district and local candidates. The “B” card contains state propositions and local measures. Voters may be surprised by the sheer number of candidates (142), propositions (5) and measures (2) that appear on the ballot for the Tuesday, June 5 Statewide Direct Primary Election.
