Approximately 240 guests attended SIO, Soroptimist International of Oakdale’s annual Holiday Luncheon and Silent Auction fundraiser on Nov. 28 at the Gene Bianchi Community Center. The guests were treated to a delicious lunch catered by Café Bliss and cupcakes by Sassy Confections. Over 60 silent auction items including themed baskets, handcrafted items, and baked goods provided the guests with opportunities to do some holiday shopping. Beautiful poinsettia table decorations went home with guests winning the opportunity drawings.
The highlight of the event was a fashion show by Kristine’s Designer Clothing of Oakdale featuring models in fashions ranging from holiday dressy to casual looks.
Soroptimist International of Oakdale wishes to thank the staff from Children’s Crisis Center of Stanislaus County for assisting with the event and all that attended and/or donated auction items. Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit Oakdale Soroptimist’s women, girls, and community projects.
