Halloween Happenings Bring Crowd To Downtown Plaza
Halloween
A ‘Hocus Pocus’ movie style witch and flag bearing friends pose for a photo at the Halloween festivities staged at the Oakdale Plaza on Oct. 31.
Treats
Youngsters had the chance to play games inside the Community Center, earning candy and treats as their prizes.

The costume parade, a free hot dog dinner, games, treats and candy were enough to draw a huge crowd to the Oakdale Town Plaza on Thursday night, Oct. 31.

Joining forces with several community groups, the City of Oakdale and the Oakdale Kiwanis Club served as primary hosts for the event, supported by a number of other organizations. There was popcorn popped and served by the Native Daughters of the Golden West, who estimated they handed out 350 bags during the evening. Games were set up throughout the Community Center, from ring toss to spinning the prize wheel, while face painting was also offered.

Attendees had the chance to parade along G Street before arriving at the Community Center and all ages enjoyed the opportunity to take part in the festive Halloween party before heading out for more trick or treating in neighborhoods or to trunk or treat events staged locally.
