Fireworks Sales, Display Planned For Community

Thursday, June 28 will be opening day for the 13 fireworks booths around Oakdale, each benefitting a local organization.

Booths can operate from noon on Thursday, June 28 up until Wednesday, July 4. The booths sell the ‘Safe and Sane’ fireworks that are permitted for use in Oakdale.

The following list includes the booths and locations: Oakdale Family Church of the Nazarene, 1700 W. F St.; Knights of Columbus, 1580 E. F St.; Life Community Church of the Assemblies, 175 S. Maag Ave.; Oakdale Equine Rescue, 1138 W. F St.; Waterford Youth Football and Cheer, 12173 Yosemite; Ministries New Covenant, 9919 Valley Home Road; River Oak Grace Community Church, 808 N. Yosemite; Oak Valley Church, 1510 E. F St.; River Oaks 4-H, 141 N. Yosemite; True Vine Apostolic Fellowship, 1300 W. F St.; Oakdale Music Boosters, 1499 E. F St.; VFW Post 2922, 1190 E. F St. and Oakdale FFA Boosters, 1275 E. F St.

A fireworks celebration is also being planned on Saturday, June 30 as Woodward Reservoir just north of Oakdale hosts the 23rd Annual Fireworks Celebration at Woodward. Cost to enter the park is $25 per carload the day of the event. Show time begins at 9 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to arrive at the park early to reserve a space for viewing.
