Come join the fun at Heritage School of Discovery, 1501 Magnolia, Oakdale on Saturday, April 15 for a free Community Easter Egg Hunt and family fun day. Egg hunts will be offered in different age groups for youngsters; bring your own basket to hunt for eggs. The hunt starts at 11 a.m. and there will also be games, arts and crafts, along with hot dogs, chips and more, all free for the community.

The Healthy Aging Association has opened free registration for their award winning program, “A Matter of Balance” designed to manage falls and increase activity levels. The program will run April 6 through May 25. It will be hosted at the Stanislaus County Library, 1500 I St., Modesto on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to noon. St. Patrick’s Altar Society’s annual Pancake Breakfast has been scheduled for Sunday, April 9 from 7 a.m. to noon. Breakfast will be served at St. Patrick’s Social Hall on Highway 120, just west of Escalon. Price is $7 for adults, $4 for children ages 3 to 10; and under 3 eat for free. Proceeds go directly to purchasing flowers, church decorations for Easter and Christmas seasons and communion bread for the church.

The next Accordion Music and Social for the Good Time Accordion Club will be hosted on Wednesday, April 12 at 7 p.m. at the Escalon Community Center, 1055 Escalon Ave., Escalon. Oakdale Rescue Mission will host a fundraiser barbecue and silent auction on Saturday, May 6 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Community United Methodist Church at 1480 Poplar, featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, salads, drinks and dessert. The Healthy Aging Association is currently seeking Young At Heart Fitness Instructors to lead Young At Heart group exercise classes. No experience is needed. The Oakdale Garden Club will host its annual Salad Bar Luncheon and Plant Sale on Tuesday, May 16 at the Bianchi Community Center, 110 S. Second Ave., Oakdale. Tickets are $10 per individual or $100 for reserved tables of eight persons.
