CrossFit Oakdale will participate in a one day national fitness event on Saturday, Nov. 12. The event will take place at different gyms throughout the country on that same day. Participants will be working with a partner through five workouts that range from gymnastics and weightlifting movements. Proceeds from the event will go to Barbells for Boobs, a foundation that aims at providing all women with mammograms, insured or not. St. Mary’s Catholic Church will host the 11th Annual Craft Fair on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will be hosted at the Parish Hall, 55 Oak St., Oakdale. Close to 50 vendors are expected including quilts, jewelry, toys, leather goods and home décor. Proceeds from the event are used for Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets for families in need. St. Patrick’s Church, 19399 E. Highway 120 between Escalon and Ripon, is having a Holiday Craft Sale in the Parish Hall. The sale is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 13, 9 a.m. to noon. All proceeds benefit needy families at Christmas. Oakdale Garden Club will host a Nature Lovers hands on workshop with Ruth Hawkins on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at Gene Bianchi Community Center. The event will begin at 10 a.m. A fee of $5 will be charged and include large sugar pine cones, fresh greenery and florist wire. Participants are encouraged to bring their own supply of gloves and a large sack to hold their creation. Story Time Sessions will continue through November at the Oakdale Library. Preschool Story Time is every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Books, flannelboard stories, fingerplay, and music, for preschoolers, ages 3-6, and caregivers. Wiggle Worms is every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Enjoy stories, music, dancing, rhythm activities, and fingerplay at this special program perfect for ages up to 3 and their caregivers. Wee Move And Play program, featuring unstructured imaginative play for little ones, 5 and under, will be Mondays, Nov. 14 and 28, at 11 a.m. Lego Days will be offered on Friday, Nov. 18, starting at 3 p.m.
