Members of the Oakdale City Council will gather for a special meeting on Monday, Jan. 31 at 5 p.m. in the council chambers regarding the issuance of two separate series of tax allocation revenue bonds.

The meeting is in response to Governor Jerry Brown’s proposal to eliminate future funds for city redevelopment agencies.

Oakdale City Manager Steve Hallam said the proposal was to ensure future funding for the city’s F Street project by obtaining “obligated debt” of tax-allocated revenue to proceed with the construction and redevelopment of the area.

The meeting is open to anyone interested and includes a time for public comment. Council chambers are at 277 N. Second Ave.
