Cocos Heart Fundraiser Slated

Coco, now a 2-year-old dog, was rescued several months ago in 100-degree temperatures, tied to a tree with no food or water, suffering from a variety of health issues. She was initially stabilized by local veterinarian Dr. Sergio Iniguez and later went to see a cardiologist at UC Davis, where she was diagnosed with a repairable genetic heart defect.

To help offset the costs of that heart surgery, there will be a special fundraiser hosted at Hudson Photography, 1188 River Ave., Oakdale. From Wednesday, April 3 through Saturday, April 6, bring your family and your pet(s) to Hudson Photography for an heirloom portrait. The session fee is $25 and photo packages start at $50. The entire session fee and a portion of the proceeds from the package sales will go toward Coco’s surgery.

Once Coco recovers, she will be used as a therapy dog for pediatric open heart patients.

To reserve your session, call 209-847-0540.
