With a number of new presenters appearing this year, the Seventh Annual Taste of Oakdale was a delicious delight on Tuesday, Aug. 25 at the Gene Bianchi Community Center.

According to Chamber of Commerce CEO Mary Guardiola, a crowd of more than 300 attendees enjoyed the sights, sounds and tastes at this year’s local foodie event at the Gene Bianchi Community Center on Tuesday night, Aug. 26. Dishes and beverages from 19 booths were available for sampling featuring Oakdale catering, food, and beverage businesses.

“We heard many comments that it was the best ever,” Guardiola said. “We had six first time businesses participate. I want to thank the local businesses that participated; they all stepped up with displays and presentations.”

Voting by attendees for the event favorites were: Last Call Brewing with the best beverage, Bloomingcamp Ranch for best dessert, and Oakdale Golf and Country Club for the best food and best overall.
