The Yosemite Community College District (YCCD) Board of Trustees is seeking applications from qualified individuals interested in serving on the YCCD Measure E Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC).
Current vacancies exist for a member active in a bonafide taxpayer association and for student representatives for Modesto Junior College and Columbia College. Employees or officials of the District, vendors, contractors or consultants of the District are not eligible to serve on the committee.
Applications can be obtained from the YCCD Chancellor’s Office, 2201 Blue Gum Ave., Modesto, CA 95352, by calling (209) 575-6509, or going online at http://www.yosemite.edu/bond/committee/.
Applications will be accepted until the qualified applicant pool is sufficient.
The committee’s primary function is to inform the public regarding the use of the bond funds, and to review expenditures and prepare an Annual Report for YCCD’s $326.1 million bond measure. Measure E was passed by voters in November 2004 to finance improvements at Columbia College and Modesto Junior College, and to increase access to educational opportunities in outreach areas.
The CBOC committee meets quarterly. Minutes, agendas and other supporting documents are posted on the CBOC website at www.yosemite.edu/bond. The next CBOC meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015.
