April Programs Slated At The Oakdale Library

Preschool Story Time and Wiggle Worms will be off-session in April and resume in May.

Computer Classes will be reviewing Basics, Part 1 and Part 2, on April 12 and April 26. There will be an Internet Basics Class given on April 19. All classes begin at 10:30 a.m. Please call the Library for info and be sure to reserve your space, each session is limited to four people. The number is 847-4204.

“Cover to Cover Reading Challenge” sponsored by In-N-Out Burger will continue through April 16, for kids, ages 4-12. Pick up a reading log and track your reading to get a free hamburger or cheeseburger

Children’s Craft will be making “Fuzzy Yarn Sheep” at 3:30 p.m. on April 6.

Little ones, ages 5 and under, will enjoy Wee Move And Play program, featuring unstructured imaginative play and learning. This program will be offered on April 11, at 11 a.m.

There will be two LEGO days this month, April 14 and April 28. Both will begin at 3:30 p.m. Kids can unleash their creativity and the work will be displayed in the Library.

Teens and Adults: Have fun designing and pressing your own large button pins. Sports themes, super heroes, book themes, “selfies,” or other photos you provide can be made into pins that look great anywhere you place them. This craft begins at 3:30 p.m. on April 13.

The Library Book Club will be reading “Turn of Mind” and meeting to discuss and share on Tuesday, April 26, at 11:30 a.m. Sign out your copy at the Library. New members welcome.

Join in on April 27, at 3:30 p.m., for a special Story Time geared for Pre-schoolers but enjoyable for the whole family. Stanislaus County, Dept. of Environmental Resources will provide a lively program about litter, recycling, and storm water. The library will have a recycling craft following this presentation, “Plastic Bottle Piggy Banks.”

On April 30, starting at 11 a.m., there will be a wonderful family celebration, “Día @ the Oakdale Library! Day of the Child/Day of the Book!” Join in for Bilingual Story Time, Crafts, Music, and Free Books.
