Even if you are not a rider, everyone is encouraged to participate; you can also drive your car or truck or join all the riders at the final stop for a BBQ, Truck Show and Raffle.
Rider and Truck Show registration is available online at www.truckinforhospice.org.
Truckin’ for Hospice was established in 2002 when members of the trucking industry joined forces to raise money for the two local nonprofit hospice organizations. In the past 14 years more than 7,390 participants have raised over $646,000 to support the patients, families and programs of Community Hospice and Hospice of San Joaquin.
Many Truckin’ for Hospice sponsors and riders have had first-hand experience with hospice while receiving care for their ill family members and know the importance of supporting these hospice organizations. Community Hospice and Hospice of San Joaquin provide support and resources for terminally ill patients and their families at their homes, in residential living and nursing facilities, as well as the Community Hospice Alexander Cohen Hospice House and Hospice of San Joaquin’s Hospice House. Support extends beyond hospice services including grief and bereavement support to anyone in the community that has experienced a loss.
While Truckin’ for Hospice is presented on behalf of the California Trucking Association – San Joaquin Unit, Hospice officials said sponsors of this popular event represent a wide range of businesses affiliated with many industries throughout the community. Transportation companies, parts and tire suppliers, truck dealers and equipment manufacturers, Harley Davidson Dealers, custom bike shops and many others have been great supporters of this event.
