Fireworks will light up the night over Woodward Reservoir on Saturday, July 1.

Stanislaus County Parks and Recreation’s annual fireworks display over the waters at Woodward Reservoir is scheduled for Saturday, July 1 this year.

The 21-minute show will feature larger, more unique shells than previous years, as well as radio simulcasting with KRVR The River, which will allow attendees to tune their music devices to 105.5 FM radio and hear synchronized music as they view the fireworks.

In order to accommodate campers, and families who may be working or have morning activities during the week, the show will be held on the Saturday before Independence Day.

Staff suggests getting in to the park early to reserve a spot. Attendees should plan to stay inside the park until the show is over, as the park will be closed to inbound traffic if capacity is reached.

Woodward Reservoir is at 14528 26-Mile Road, Oakdale.

The show will begin just after sundown, at approximately 9:30 p.m. The cost to enter the park is $25 per vehicle the day of the event. To ensure safety at the park, no personal fireworks are allowed.
