1127 Angel tags

Center for Human Services (CHS) – Oakdale Family Resource and Counseling Center introduced Angel Trees in 2011 to assist families in need during the holiday season. Last year, CHS – Oakdale Family Resource and Counseling Center hosted Angel Trees at four different sites and were able to provide gifts for approximately 130 Angels (local children). This year, the center is hosting Angel Trees at 10 sites and plan to serve over 160 Angels. If you or someone you know is interested in adopting a local ‘Angel’ in need this holiday season, Angel Trees can be found at the following locations:

Little Luvbugz, Learning Tree Preschool, House of Tykes, Steves Chevrolet, Lori’s Creative Framing & Fine Art, 507 Salon, Living Hope Christian Fellowship, St. Mary’s Church, Pointe of Dance and The Oakdale Leader.

Volunteers Kym Cassaretto and Rachelle Antinetti are helping to make the Angel Trees grow, and Center officials offered their thanks for their efforts, noting that the two wanted to do a project with their children and have lined up all the businesses to host Angel Trees.

For more information call the Center at (209) 847-0420. Otherwise, community members can visit the Angel Tree locations to adopt an Angel and shop for them for Christmas. Shoppers will be given information on needs, including clothing sizes, and a few suggestions for something fun.
